Red Bull chose podium over fastest lap point for Perez

Red Bull's Christian Horner says pitting Sergio Perez in the closing stages of the US Grand Prix to deprive Lewis Hamilton of a championship point would have been "brutal" as it would have robbed the Mexican of a well-deserved podium. Perez was running third behond teammate max Verstappen and Hamilton in the closing stages of the race at the Circuit of the Americas, executing a flawless race despite a bout of physical illness.
