Renault has unveiled the brand new RS19. The launch of the Formula 1 car took place at Renault's base in Enstone, England. Nico Hulkenberg and Cyril Abiteboul were joined by new signing Daniel Ricciardo on the presentation podium. The French team once again bring their yellow-black livery to the grid in 2019.
Renault is on the upward trend heading back towards the top of the world championship where they feel they belong. A five-year plan surfaced which detailed their steps to return to the top, where they stood with Fernando Alonso in 2005 and 2006. To shock the F1 paddock, they brought in Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull this summer and Abiteboul believes he is key to for victories within two years.

Ambitions beyond best-of-the-rest
Finishing fourth in the constructors last season offers perspective, but the sought-after best-of-the-rest target is also high on the list of various rival competitors. Bridging the gap with the top three is the crucial next step, but it will demand even greater performance.
A fast start in the championship will be important. If the French can avoid getting dragged into a mid-table battle, they could start to be riskier when the updates roll in. And an important factor on how fast they start will be how they've interpreted the new aerodynamic regulations.
