Rain hampered Pirelli's tyre test with Ferrari at Mugello

Formula One's sole tyre manufacturer Pirelli had been intent on completing a two-day tyre test with Ferrari at the Scuderia's own track at Mugello, but rain hampered the efforts on both days. Pirelli completed two days of development testing of the 2026 tyres on Thursday and Friday with Ferrari at Mugello, albeit rain heavily affected the programme. The Italian tyre manufacturer originally intended to carry out a comparison of the harder compounds of its 2026 F1 tyres, but rain hampered the efforts of the Pirelli engineers.
