F1: Mercedes ditches upgrade
Mercedes has decided to do away with the rear suspension upgrade introduced at Imola. The German team is currently evaluating a number of areas in a bid to determine what led to its recent slump. The upgraded suspension was dropped for the Monaco and Spanish rounds but reintroduced in Canada where George Russell claimed victory, prompting the German team to persevere with it. However, the subsequent slump, reinforced by criticism from both Russell and teammate Kimi Antonelli, caused the team to think again and eventually revert to the original suspension, going on to enjoy a strong weekend in Hungary.
