Tech F1i: McLaren leads teams targeting floor gains at Silverstone

04/07/2025 at 14:2304/07/2025 at 14:37 For this weekend’s round of racing at Silverstone, several teams have rolled out significant aerodynamic upgrades aimed at extracting extra performance on one of the calendar’s most demanding circuits. With high-speed corners and long straights, the British track provides a stern test for car balance and downforce efficiency — and many teams have responded with key developments, particularly focused on the floor area. All teams have implemented relative changes to their cars, save for Ferrari, Mercedes, and Alpine which have opted to run without new modifications following last week’s Austrian Grand Prix....
