Gasly coy on F1 impact of Renault CEO's exit
Jun.17 Pierre Gasly admits he isn't sure how the departure next month of Renault CEO Luca de Meo will affect Alpine's Formula 1 team. Instability has characterised the operations of the Renault-controlled, Enstone-based team for the past several years, with de Meo's shock resignation the next blow. Just a year ago, the 58-year-old installed Italian countryman Flavio Briatore as his personal ‘executive advisor' at Alpine F1, with Briatore subsequently assuming even greater power when Oliver Oakes resigned.
