Piastri on Chinese GP win: 'I feel like I deserved it'

23/03/2025 at 11:11 Oscar Piastri reflected on his victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, admitting that it was well-deserved after a disappointing race back home. It was a commanding win which never looked in doubt for the Australian driver. Holding the lead into the first corner on the opening lap, Piastri only relinquished the lead for a few laps when he pitted for a fresh set of hard tyres in the first half of the Grand Prix. The McLaren man had a leg up on teammate Lando Norris throughout the entire weekend, outqualifying the British driver for both the Sprint race and main race and extending his lead to almost ten seconds at the chequered flag.
