Sainz enjoys solid first day of testing with Williams in Bahrain

26/02/2025 at 18:2326/02/2025 at 19:44 Williams enjoyed a productive opening day of pre-season testing on Wednesday in Bahrain where Carlos Sainz set the fifth fastest lap onboard the British outfit's new FW47 contender. Save for a lengthy afternoon disruption caused by a power failure of the circuit's infrastructure, Sainz and teammate Alex Albon breezed through their sessions with ease as the pair worked diligently to develop and fine-tune the Grove-based outfit's new-spec design. While Albon completed 63 laps, posting a fastest time of 1:31.573, the former Ferrari charger put in 68 laps and set a quicker personal best of 1:30.955. A Solid P5 in the...
