Wolff honest about signing Verstappen: 'There was never a plan'

Toto Wolff’s interest in Max Verstappen is no secret. Last year, the Mercedes team boss openly expressed his desire to have the Dutchman join his team. However, in an interview with Auto, Motor und Sport, Wolff clarified that while he admired Verstappen’s talent, there was never a concrete plan in place to bring the four-time world champion to Mercedes. Despite his admiration, Wolff explained that the idea never materialised into any serious negotiations.
