Sainz pleased with progress as Williams sets launch date
Williams has revealed the launch plans for its 2025 car, as the team begins its association with Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard, who joined Williams from Ferrari, was allowed to drive for his new team in the post-season test in Abu Dhabi last month. Williams will launch its new car — the FW47 — at Silverstone on Feb. 14, but is saving the race livery for the F1 75 event at the O2 Arena in London four days later. Sainz says he’s been encouraged by the early signs since beginning work with the team.
