F1: Stella justifies stance on team orders

Insisting that there is no number one driver at McLaren, Andrea Stella explains why he is totally against the use of team orders. Granted, Oscar Piastri has been asked to yield to his teammate on a couple of occasions recently, and there remain doubts over some of the strategic calls which have appeared to favour Lando Norris. However, Stella is loathe to make team orders a regular occurrence, not so much in terms of the outcome of the 2024 season, but moving forward. The Italian feels that giving one driver priority over his teammate will only lead to future problems for the team. 'We don't have a number one driver or a number two,' Stella tells Autosport.
