Leclerc leads Ferrari 1-2 at COTA as Norris, Verstappen clash for third
Charles Leclerc romped to victory at the United States Grand Prix ahead of teammate Carlos Sainz in a dominant Ferrari one-two after title rivals Max Verstappen and Lando Norris controversially clashed late in the race in the battle for the podium. Leclerc started fourth from the grid but set up his straightforward victory with a great launch to take the lead immediately from polesitter Norris and front-row starter Verstappen. Norris launched well from the line but failed to defend the inside sternly enough from Verstappen, who barged down his inside on the brakes, taking both drivers to the outside edge of the track.
