Marko sees Verstappen shine: "It couldn't have gone better"
Max Verstappen has conquered the lead in the World Championship after a great Sunday afternoon in Monaco. Helmut Marko is logically very pleased with the performance of the 23-year old driver from the Netherlands in the narrow streets of Monte Carlo. "Great, great," Marko told ServusTV in a first reaction. The Red Bull Racing advisor saw that Verstappen's start was not quite top-notch, but otherwise the 12-time Grand Prix winner was not put under any pressure. "We were firmly in the lead and had everything under control - the tyres, the fuel," he said.
