Report: Teams nearing agreement on sprint qualifying
The 10 Formula 1 teams are nearing agreement on the proposed sprint qualifying format, according to RaceFans. The initial idea was approved by the F1 Commission last month and has been discussed in recent weeks by a working group tasked with finessing the format. RaceFans report that the format, which looks set to involve qualifying being moved to Friday with a Saturday sprint race then determining the grid for the Sunday Grand Prix, will be discussed by team bosses on Saturday evening before it is brought to a vote within the next few days.
