This was the most recent Turkish GP: Dominant Red Bull and Schumacher at Mercedes
It has been more than nine years since Formula 1 last travelled to Turkey for the Turkish Grand Prix. Since then, a lot has changed within Formula 1, such as the appearance of the cars and the teams on the grid. In 2011 Red Bull Racing was the dominant team, whereas now it is Mercedes. Turkey's last GP was held on 8 May 2011 under the name of Formula 1 DHL Turkish Grand Prix. On the 5.3 km long circuit the dominant Red Bull was the fastest in qualifying and the race. A 1-2 with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber in qualifying also became a 1-2 in the race. Other drivers who also drove in Turkey in 2011 are Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez.
