Perez: It was a physical challenge having missed two weekends

Racing Point driver Sergio Perez admitted after qualifying fourth for the Spanish Grand Prix that two weeks of enforced absence impacted on his fitness and he felt it in the heat of Barcelona on Saturday. In a dramatic and stressful week for the Lawrence Stroll team, the result was what they would have scripted with Perez back in the saddle and immediately on the money. The Mexican said after his first qualifying since Hungary last month, “That was challenging! But I’m really happy with P4.
