Leclerc ‘shocked' by second-row Silverstone spot

Charles Leclerc admitted to shock at securing a second-row starting position for Formula 1’s British Grand Prix. Ferrari has lacked speed, most prominently in qualifying, through the 2020 campaign, with Leclerc dropping out of Q2 in Styria. Mercedes locked out the front row of the grid at Silverstone, with Lewis Hamilton in front of Valtteri Bottas, while of the rest only Max Verstappen set a faster time than Leclerc. “Oh yes, definitively,” said Leclerc on whether the result was a shock.
