Drivers warned over Copse, Stowe track limits

Formula 1 drivers have been warned over exceeding track limits at Copse and Stowe corners at this weekend’s British Grand Prix. In a bid to reduce the risk of cars sustaining damage, and to save the associated costs for teams, Formula 1 removed raised yellow kerbs in Spielberg, instead monitoring track limits with sensors. A similar approach was adopted regarding track limits at the Hungaroring. On Thursday drivers were warned that “a lap time achieved during any practice session, or the race, by leaving the track and cutting behind the black and white kerb will result in that lap time being invalidated by the stewards.” Related Posts Italian GP organisers confirm F1 race will...
