Boss of COTA disappointed: "The cancellation is prudent, but painful"

On Friday it was announced that there will be three new Grands Prix on the calendar for 2020. At the expense of this, four Grands Prix will be cancelled, all on the American continent. For Circuit Of The Americas the cancellation is sour, as they themselves indicate that 2020 should have been a very good year for the circuit. "The cancellation is prudent, but painful," says Bobby Epstein, boss of COTA, in a statement from the circuit. "After a sold out 2019, advance ticket sales were almost 250 percent higher than in the previous year. Our staff was preparing for our biggest event ever".
