Hamilton ‘demanding new £40m-a-year deal' – report

Lewis Hamilton is reportedly ‘demanding' a new deal with Mercedes worth £40million-a-year, according to the Daily Mail. The UK tabloid say that a ‘source close to Hamilton' wants improved terms on his existing deal, which they believe is currently worth £36million-a-year. Talks between Mercedes and Hamilton are expected to restart now that the 2020 season is finally set to get underway, while the respective futures of Silver Arrows boss Toto Wolff and Hamilton's team-mate Valtteri Bottas also need to be resolved with their contracts expiring at the end of the year, too.
