Brawn hints at second Bahrain race on 'almost oval' layout

F1 director of motorsport Ross Brawn says Bahrain could potentially host a double-header event later this year, with the venue's second race taking place on an alternative "almost oval" layout. Formula 1 was scheduled to visit Bahrain in the early part of the 2020 season but the race was postponed due to the coronavirus and is now expected to bookend along with Abu Dhabi the end of year. However, the prospect of at least three more races facing imminent cancellation - Singapore, Baku and Suzuka - and others like Brazil and Viernam also looking very uncertain could lead to F1 racing twice in Bahrain.
