Hamilton makes 2020 return on Wednesday

Lewis Hamilton has made his return to a Formula 1 car on Wednesday, completing the second day of Mercedes' pre-Austria test at Silverstone. Following teammate Valtteri Bottas, who took the first turn on Tuesday, six-time world champion Hamilton is getting his chance to take the 2018 Mercedes W09 for a spin around the British circuit. A car in which Hamilton won 11 races en route to his fifth driver's title, today is a chance for the Briton to shake the rust off and experience F1's new COVID-19 protocols before racing gets underway again on July 5th.
