Monza's mayor reveals F1 deal extended to 2025

The mayor of Monza has revealed that the circuit’s deal to host Formula 1’s Italian Grand Prix has been extended through 2025. Monza’s Autodromo first opened in 1922 and has hosted Formula 1’s Italian Grand Prix annually since 1950, aside from in 1980, when it was closed for renovation. After years of uncertainty it was confirmed last September that a new contract had been reached between race promoter Automobile Club d’Italia and Formula 1’s commercial rights holder Liberty Media.
