Williams announce new managing director

Williams has confirmed that Simon Roberts will be joining the team in the newly-created role of F1 managing director. Roberts has a vast amount of experiencing working in Formula 1 and has held key roles at the likes of McLaren and Force India. He was announced as McLaren's operations director and general manager in 2003 before joining Force India as chief operating officer ahead of the 2009 season. He then returned to McLaren in 2010 and became chief operating officer in 2017. Now he will start a new chapter with Williams on June 1 and the team are delighted to bring someone of Roberts' calibre on board.
