Alfa: Condensed schedule could hurt small teams

While not racing is hurting the small teams, Alfa Romeo team boss Frederic Vasseur has warned that too many races in a short period will do the same. At present the Formula 1 teams are missing out on roughly '$2 million' for every race missed. That is threatening the survival of some of the smaller teams with Zak Brown predicting Formula 1 could lose as many as 'four' teams before the financial crisis is over. As such the sport is eager to go racing with Ross Brawn suggesting a July start for a 19-race calendar that would be 'three races on, one weekend off, three races on, one weekend off'.
