Video: The greatest F1 driver of each decade
With the new decade starting, despite a slight delay to the 2020 Formula 1 season, it seems an ideal time to look over who comes out on top as the greatest driver of each decade. From the 1950s all the way to the recently completed 2010s, F1 has been through changes which have made the sport almost unrecognisable and which has also seen the rise of many superstar drivers across each decade. From the first legend Juan Manuel Fangio, now known as “the Godfather” of F1, to today’s reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton, the hall of fame members is an extensive club heading into an eighth decade which made it an extremely tricky task to pick out just one name per decade for the 1950s,...
