Barcelona Testing to Receive Full TV Coverage

Formula 1 has announced that this year's two tests in Barcelona will be treated as ‘official events', with the same level of TV coverage afforded to race weekends. As revealed in a press release on Thursday, the broadcast teams of Sky Italia and Sky UK will work in conjunction with F1 TV to deliver all the on-track and off-track action from the two preseason tests at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which will run from February 19-21 and 26-28. The announcement follows a successful trial of more in-depth TV coverage in the 2019 preseason, which came after years of muted reporting with little video of the cars out on track.
