Zandvoort F1 circuit meets crucial FIA safety standards
The Zandvoort circuit that will host the revised Dutch Grand Prix in the 2020 Formula 1 season will meet the FIA’s Grade 1 standards following the installation of new fencing. Zandvoort is currently undergoing a revamp to bring the track up to current grand prix circuit standards, having last held an F1 race in 1985. Part of the track upgrade includes the installation of new debris fences around the venue, a process which is being completed by Swiss company Geobrugg, which claims to be the only permanent debris fence manufacturer in the world to have passed the new FIA homologation tests.
