Max Verstappen now summoned over alleged yellow flag breach

Max Verstappen has been summoned to the stewards over an alleged yellow flag infringement at Formula 1’s Mexican Grand Prix. Valtteri Bottas crashed heavily through the final corner and a single waved yellow flag was visible trackside. Verstappen, following on track, improved on his provisional pole position lap and set the fastest final sector in the process. However an FIA representative informed Motorsport Week that he slowed sufficiently under the relevant mini sector that governed the portion of track where Bottas’ crash took place.
