Fernando Alonso clinched his first world crown on this day in 2005 when he triumphed in the Chinese Grand Prix, a win which also enabled Renault to secure the Constructors' title. While the milestone achievement has likely survived in the Spaniard's memory, it must now appear as a very distant remembrance. Fortunately, one can close one's eyes to reality but not to memories...
