Vettel beats Leclerc as Ferrari lock-out Suzuka front row

Sebastian Vettel will start today's 2019 Japanese Grand Prix from pole position after topping the typhoon-delayed Sunday morning qualifying session at Suzuka. Joining him on the front row of the grid this afternoon will be his Ferrari team mate Charles Leclerc, who was unable to extend his run of four back-to-back poles this weekend. Mercedes missed out on the front row for the first time in the hybrid engine era. Valtteri Bottas will start from third place with Lewis Hamilton alongside him in fourth.
