Sainz says FP1 stoppage was a ‘heart attack' moment

Japanese Grand Prix – McLaren's Carlos Sainz was all smiles after finishing P7 in both practice sessions, despite stopping on track at the start of FP1. McLaren's Carlos Sainz finished P7 in both the first and second practice sessions at Suzuka on Friday, as he led the battle of the midfield runners as he done throughout much of 2019. The Spanish driver's FP1 was particularly impressive, as he recovered from an electrical issue which compromised the first half of the session for him.
