Formula 1 confirms reduced 2020 pre-season schedule, in-season running scrapped

Formula 1 has confirmed that it has reduced its pre-season testing schedule from eight to six days for the 2020 season, while in-season running has been scrapped. In recent years Formula 1 has carried out two four-day tests at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, in order for teams to gather experience with their new cars, but for 2020 a day has been removed from each session. Next year’s pre-season programme will run from 19 to 21 February, and from 26 to 28 February, with Barcelona again the chosen venue. It has also been confirmed that, with a record-breaking 22-race schedule already confirmed for 2020, there will be no in-season testing next season. For the last few years...
