FIA delays plan for single brake supplier

The FIA has decided to delay plans to introduce a single supplier for brakes to allow for 'further evaluation' of the 2021 F1 cars. Earlier this year motorsport's governing body opened the tender process for a single brake supplier for Formula 1. The supplier was to deliver certain brake system components, comprising brake-by wire technology, callipers and master cylinder from 2021 to 2024. However, months later the FIA has backtracked on the plans, saying they intend delaying it until 2021 when they have a better idea of how the new regulations will impact the cars.
