F3 driver Peroni walks away after huge crash at Monza

Formula 3 driver Alex Peroni thankfully walked away after he was involved in a terrifying crash during Saturday's race at the Italian Grand Prix. Peroni hit a sausage kerb on the outside of the Parabolica and was pitched metres in the air, spinning and landing on top of the barriers. Article continues under video He was able to escape the car and was taken away in the medical centre for check-ups. There appeared to be marshals stationed at the scene of Peroni's landing, but their status was not immediately confirmed by the FIA.
