Kubica to race at Monza with old, high mileage engine

Italian Grand Prix – Williams' Robert Kubica will race this weekend fitted with a previously used Mercedes power unit. Williams' Robert Kubica faces a tough weekend at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix. Fitted with a brand new Spec 3 Mercedes power unit for Spa-Francorchamps to meet the high power demands of the Belgian and Italian weekends, he only made it as far as three quarters around his outlap in Q1 before the engine blew up. It was sent back to Mercedes' engine department at Brixworth for investigation. Following his dramatic engine failure during qualifying at last weekend's Belgian Grand Prix, he was fitted with an old Spec 2 engine and triggered an automatic pitlane start...
