Formula 1 finally confirms new five-year Italian GP deal

Formula 1 will hold the Italian Grand Prix at Monza through at least 2024 after a long-awaited contract renewal was finally confirmed. It was revealed earlier this year that the Automobile Club d’Italia had received an agreement in principle to remain on the roster beyond the end of 2019. Italy was one of five races that entered the year with an expiring contract and its place on the recently revealed 2020 calendar remained subject to a formal agreement.
