New five-year Monza contract expected to be signed this weekend
While Monza is listed on the 2020 Formula 1 season's calendar, the contract still needs to be signed. According to the president of the Italian automobile club Aci, the signing is "very close" and he expects to do a deal in the build-up to the Italian Grand Prix. The confirmation of a deal would 100% cement a 22 race season. The Dutch Grand Prix and a race in Vietnam have been added to the schedule while only Hockenheim misses out. Angelo Sticchi Damiani, reports that the contract to host Formula 1 at the Monza circuit will last for five years.
