New Mexican GP contract set to be signed on Thursday

The future of the Mexican Grand Prix is set to be secured with the signing of a new Formula 1 contract on Thursday, as confirmed by the mayor of Mexico City. Mexico returned to the F1 calendar in 2015 and quickly became one of the sport's most vibrant and popular races, but faced an uncertain future after the country's president suggested funding would be cut to instead support a mobility programme in Mexico City.
