Schumacher secures first F2 win in Hungary

Mick Schumacher secured a huge 2019 breakthrough by taking a dominant first Formula 2 victory in Sunday's sprint race at the Hungaroring. Schumacher led from reverse-grid pole, his second P1 start of the year. However, unlike in his debut event in Bahrain, where he fell to sixth place, the German delivered a flawless drive to lead every lap. Article continues under video The Ferrari junior driver maintained a lead around a second ahead of Nobuharu Matsushita throughout the contest. Matsushita came under attack for second place from Sergio Sette Camara 11 laps from the end, pushing the Japanese driver to up his pace, which put him right on Schumacher's tail after Sette Camara fell away...
