Mercedes explains Hamilton's nightmare pit stop

It was all going so well... until Lewis Hamilton fell foul of those final couple of corners and damaged his front wing in the process. The Briton subsequently drove straight into the pits, picking up a time penalty in the process, where his team was not expecting him. Almost fifty seconds later he headed out again, having dropped from first to fifth in the process. 'There was a lot of chaos when Lewis came in,' admits chief trackside engineer, Andrew Shovlin in the latest edition of Pure Pitwall, 'but we were in the pits ready for Valtteri.
