Vettel, Norris to take German GP penalties

Lando Norris will join Sebastian Vettel on the back row for the German Grand Prix after McLaren changed the electronics on his car ahead of the race. Ferrari made similar changes to Vettel's car, also earning him a grid penalty, although it is immaterial as he will start last anyway, having failed to set a time in qualifying. Article continues under video The damage is also not quite as severe for Norris, who could only manage 16th in qualifying on Saturday, something McLaren put down to a battery issue.
