Verstappen starts on softs 'because of engine issues' in Q2

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing star Max Verstappen will be starting on the soft compound rather than the medium tyre, as the Dutchman couldn't risk running on mediums in Q2 after he only was able to do one flying lap. The 21-year-old spent the majority of Q2 in the garage, as he reported some engine issues that needed instant resolving. It was feared that Verstappen couldn't run at all, meaning he'd have to start from P15, but the six-time Grand Prix winner eventually could log the fourth-best time.
