Sebastian Vettel: 'I need to make up for last year'

Sebastian Vettel heads to his home race with the aim of making up for his disastrous mistake at the same race last year, where he crashed out of the lead, effectively signalling the end of his title challenge. Vettel had qualified on pole and led for much of the race until on Lap 44 it began to rain. Just a handful of laps later the German locked up at Turn 12 and went into the barriers, ending his hopes of a first home victory since 2013 – which remains his sole German GP win. Vettel is hoping to bounce back and make amends this weekend though and kickstart what has so far been a lacklustre season for Ferrari, which has yet to claim a win from the opening ten rounds.
