Charles Leclerc gains confidence after missing pole by 0.079s

Charles Leclerc was very close to pole position during today's qualifying session. He was on track to claim it but his lap fell apart in the final sector meaning that the Ferrari driver will start the race in third position. Instead of being disappointed, the Ferrari driver sees it as a positive as he is so close to the two Mercedes.  "I knew I was ahead," Leclerc told the Official F1 Website after the session. "I kept my head down and tried to take the most out of the lap and that's what I did.
