Magnussen faces five-place grid penalty for gearbox change

Kevin Magnussen has been hit with a five-place grid penalty for a change of gearbox ahead of qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix. The American outfit identified an issue ahead of qualifying on Saturday. The switching of the gearbox earning the Dane a five-place penalty. Haas has struggled recently, particularly with managing the 2019 Pirelli tyres. Team principal Gunther Steiner branded last weekend's French Grand Prix as the team's worst race since joining the sport back in 2015.
