Bottas uninjured in hefty FP2 crash

Austrian Grand Prix – Valtteri Bottas has been released from the medical centre after checks following his heavy crash during the second practice session at the Red Bull Ring. The Mercedes driver was one of several high profile victims of tricky driving conditions during the second practice session. While it remained hot and clear at the circuit, the wind noticeably picked up and this caught several drivers out over the ninety minute session. Shortly after Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen crashed his RB15 at the final corner, Valtteri Bottas lost control of his Mercedes going through Turn 6.
