Leclerc feeling good ahead of qualifying despite gap to Mercedes

Charles Leclerc says that Friday was a positive day for Ferrari despite finishing so far behind Mercedes in FP1 and FP2. The Monegasque driver ended Friday in third place in both sessions, 0.6s down on Valtteri Bottas' best at the end of the day. Speaking afterwards, Leclerc indicated that the team had enjoyed a positive start to the French Grand Prix weekend despite appearing so far away on the stopwatch. “I am generally happy with how our sessions went today," he said.
