Ricciardo takes updated Renault engine ahead of schedule
Renault has confirmed Daniel Ricciardo will move on to its ‘Spec B’ engine for this weekend’s French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard, ahead of the team’s planned schedule. Renault has brought its first major update package of the season for its R.S.19 car, which will run with narrower bodywork, nose cape and floor than at previous races. The team confirmed ahead of opening practice on Friday at Paul Ricard that Ricciardo’s car would also be fitted with a new engine, offering a boost in performance.
