Alfa Romeo confirm Giovinazzi set to be given prestigious award

Alfa Romeo have confirmed Antonio Giovinazzi will be handed the Trofeo Lorenzo Bandini at the weekend. Bandini tragically died at the 1967 Monaco Grand Prix, losing control of his car and crashing. The Ferrari Bandini was in caught fire and the driver was trapped inside. Three days later, Bandini was pronounced dead following third-degree burns. Valtteri Bottas was handed the award last season - with the honour given out annually. There have been some very big names in Formula 1 who have previously won this award - with the likes of Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso all being given it at one point.
